Garden for Good is our community-driven initiative started in September 2023 to help raise donations for animals in need. Through the initiative, we collect plant and garden item donations from the community and sell them at online marketplaces such as Nextdoor and Facebook Marketplace and at weekend Adoption Events.

The donations we request for are:

• Rooted, healthy plants
• Succulent cuttings or other plant cuttings that are easy to grow
• Planters and pots in good condition
• Organic soil and succulent soil
• Small and medium-sized garden decor

With the surge in the animal shelters and Rescues, there is a constant need for new and used pet items. Through the Pick Me Up initiative, we scour Nextdoor, Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist and pick up free, usable pet items and drop them off at county shelters and Rescues. We look for:

• New or lightly used (in good condition) pet items such as crates, pens, dog/cat beds, toys, bowls etc.
• New or lightly used towels and un-stuffed blankets
• Sealed or opened and unexpired dry dog/cat food
• Sealed and unexpired dog and cat canned food
